Hi Robyn,
Thank you so much for sharing about your mother and letting us know how moved you were by the video. I know that you are dealing with other challenges around your mother, not just with the dementia, and I would like to say how much I admire your courage and positiveness in dealing with those challenges.

I would imagine there are times you feel very alone in dealing with these issues and so here is a gentle reminder that you have friends who love and care for your well-being and, whilst not able to help in a physical sense, certainly have you in their thoughts and in their heart.

Thank you so much for leaving the feedback around the video and especially for sharing with us about your father. I can only imagine how hard it must be for you losing someone you love to dementia, especially having lost your mother so recently. I’m delighted that you have found the patience to understand a little of what is going on for him and, having done so, you are now able to communicate in love for who he is for you now and remembering who he was, prior to the dementia.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend, during this period of your life. So too, do Robyn and Chris send their love.

This video touched me because of what I happen to be going through in my own life, right now. How amazing – the synchronicity. I am dealing with my own father’s dementia. Since it has been a while since I have seen him, the deterioration was a shock. I lost my patience several times until one time, the last time. That was when he was so hurt. I felt bad. I had to remind myself he is like a child now. How would I treat a 5 year old? And my love and patience flew back to me like a bird and we have been getting along with love and understanding ever since.

Love the cover of the video in your email and then after watching, it brought tears to my eyes when I think of my mother and her asking me the same questions endlessly, some for which I have no answer as I cannot help her any more.
